Single cell resolution of the bone marrow microenvironment in pediatric leukemia
My research focuses on the identification of drivers of malignancy and therapy resistance as treatment targets for novel therapies for children with B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia. With the use of single-cell technologies, we try to uncover how genomic data at cellular resolution can be used to understand the underlying mechanisms of leukemogenesis.
Our deepest interest resides in the study of the cell-cell communication circuitry in the bone marrow niche, as a tool to discover vulnerabilities that we can tackle to develop more effective treatments.
