Samenvatting

A patient with an epidermal cyst of the testicle is described. This benign testicular tumour occurs very rarely. The histogenesis of this monodermal development of a teratoma is discussed. At operation of patients for a testicular tumour believed to be malignant, hemicastration may sometimes be avoided if the epidermal cyst is recognized.
