Samenvatting

There is no uniformity in the literature about dosage of cytostatics in isolated regional perfusion. We prefer a dosage related to the volume of perfused tissue. Optimal dosage of cisplatin in isolated regional perfusion under hyperthermia was assessed. Two dogs received 45 mg/liter extremity volume causing irreversible tissue damage especially of skeletal muscle. After dose reduction (30%) to 30 mg/liter extremity volume toxicity in 3 dogs was acceptable and reversible. This is considered optimal dosage of cisplatin in isolated regional perfusion. Uniformity in dosimetry of cytostatics in regional perfusion in stressed.
