Samenvatting

This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy). This article has been retracted at the request of Editor-in-Chief. The journal was alerted by a concerned reader regarding an associated PubPeer post: https://pubpeer.com/publications/1D23210B75FD8EC87B1AF35B308A6D, which reported that the control and colitis graphs appear to be identical with another article from the same group published in Journal of Cellular Physiology, 234 (2019) 11654-11661, https://doi.org/10.1002/jcp.27823. The editors requested the raw data of Fig. 8. The authors claimed that the local hard drive where the images were initially acquired and stored might lack sufficient capacity to hold all the data so that they were not capable of providing all the raw data of this figure. The editors found the provided justification insufficient, lost confidence in the integrity of the data and have thus decided to retract the article.
